Common punch needle mistakes and fixes

Loops pulling out, holes in fabric and gaps.
- Loops pull out: check fabric is tight, the needle-fabric-thread combination matches, and the thread runs slack.
- Lifting too high pulls loops out: stop at the surface.
- Wrong monk's cloth: the craft-shop kind for Swedish weaving isn't right; punch needle monk's cloth has white guide stripes.
- Holes in fabric: often just threads pushed apart; scratch them back while taut.
- Bald spots: check the loop side and add stitches.
