Trapunto mistakes and how to avoid them
Trim carefully and wash.
- Batting shows past the motif: trim as close to the stitching as you can.
- Cut the top: trim with duckbill scissors and go slowly.
- Motif looks flat: quilt the background more densely.
- Basting still visible: wash the quilt to dissolve it.
