How to sew a dart

A flat point, no dimple.
Step by step
- Mark the dart lines, plus a cross-mark about 3/8 in before the point.
- Fold right sides together, matching the lines exactly, and pin.
- Stitch from the edge at 2.0 mm, securing the start.
- At the cross-mark, shorten to 1.0 mm and angle to meet the fold.
- Stitch along the fold to the point; don't sew off past it.
- Keep long tails and double-knot them at the tip.
- Threads shows another way: sewing from the point to the edge.
