What you need for visible mending
Thread, needles, patches, pins and a marker.
- Sashiko thread, or all six strands of embroidery floss, or perle cotton 8 or 12.
- A sashiko or large-eyed needle strong enough for heavy fabric.
- Patch fabric: denim, canvas or twill for jeans.
- Safety pins to hold patches.
- Chalk or a washable pen for marking.
