What you need for patching jeans
Patch fabric, thread, a jeans needle, pins and an iron.
- Denim or cotton twill, at least 1 in (2.5 cm) bigger than the hole all round (stretch cotton for stretch denim).
- Topstitch or all-purpose polyester thread in denim blue.
- A jeans machine needle, 90/14 or 100/16.
- A hand sewing needle, pins, iron and thimble.
