Upholstery mistakes and fixes
What professionals redo most.
- Weave skewed: staple from the centres, not corner first.
- Cover bags: pull to an even, firm tension.
- Lumpy top: replace collapsed foam.
- Seat won't fit: strip old layers back.
- Puckers: remove staples, re-stretch and re-staple.
- Staples show on top: staple further in from the edge.
