Where to go next with ribbon embroidery

Beads, wider ribbons and mixed threads.

• Add small seed beads as buds and flower centres; Heritage Embroidery keeps beading needles to hand.
• Try 7 mm ribbon. To end off, trim to about 1/4 inch on the back and whipstitch to a nearby stitch with thread.
• Combine ribbon with floss and perle cotton for stems, vines and ferns.
