What you need for couching
Two needles and two threads.
- A laid thread: yarn, thick thread, ribbon or a fabric strip.
- A finer tying thread, matching or contrasting.
- A chenille needle (sharp point, long eye) for the laid thread.
- An embroidery (crewel) needle for the tying thread.
- An embroidery hoop and embroidery scissors.
