Step by step

  1. Draw a simple curving shape on fabric in a hoop.
  2. Couch a thick yarn along the line with matching floss.
  3. Add extra ties on the tight curves.
  4. Try a second line with a contrasting tying thread.
  5. Finish both ends on the back.
